Itinerary

Day 1. Seattle, Washington – Tour Begins
Your scenic tour through the Pacific Northwest featuring the breathtaking San Juan Islands and Victoria, B.C. opens in Seattle, one of America’s most picturesque cities. Get to know your fellow travellers at tonight’s welcome dinner.

Day 2. Seattle

Embark on a sightseeing tour of the “Emerald City,” including the colourful restored waterfront area, historic Pioneer Square, and lively Pike Place Market, a famous fish and vegetable market dotted with restaurants and shops. The afternoon is yours to explore all that Seattle has to offer.

Day 3. Seattle – Cruising the San Juan Islands – Friday Harbour

Board your chartered boat to begin a truly incredible adventure to the San Juan Islands. Set sail to this archipelago consisting of 172 pristine islands. Relax in comfort inside or venture out on deck to take advantage of the endless photo opportunities. Make a stop at the stunning horseshoe-shaped Sucia Island State Park, a world-renowned boating destination. Sit back and take in the tranquillity as you enjoy a picnic lunch in the park. Rejoin your crew on board to continue on your engaging narrated cruise. Overnight in Friday Harbour, a quaint village filled with shops and restaurants surrounded by serene natural beauty.

Day 4. Friday Harbour – Victoria, B.C.

This morning set out under way and head north, passing the famous Roche Harbor on your way to witness Orca whales in their natural habitat. This region is a famous gathering place for these majestic creatures. Along the way, watch for river otters, sea lions and the common minke whales that also call this area home. Then, you are in for a treat – savour a cracked Dungeness crab lunch served right on board! Later, arrive in Victoria, home to some of Canada’s most exhilarating scenery. You’ll be surrounded by stunning panoramas of oceans, mountains and the city’s impressive gardens that are famous the world over.

Day 5. Victoria

Begin your day by exploring Butchart Gardens, the most popular attraction in Victoria. Immerse yourself in the 55 acres of the most diverse gardens in the world and see first-hand why they were hailed by National Geographic as one of the “top ten magnificent gardens” in the world. Next, discover the history of Victoria on your sightseeing tour of the city. Learn about its heritage, architecture and colourful gardens while taking in its peaceful atmosphere.

Day 6. Victoria – Port Angeles, Washington

Relax during your leisurely morning in Victoria or explore the city on your own. Then, board the MV Coho ferry for a 90-minute ride to Port Angeles, Washington. This charming art town is steeped in history and is considered to be the “authentic Northwest.” Perched on the shoreline in the shadows of the magnificent Mount Baker and the sprawling Olympic National Park, the views will take your breath away.

Day 7. Port Angeles

Join a local naturalist and guide to explore Olympic National Park. Learn about its three distinct ecosystems – rugged glacier-capped mountains, wild Pacific coast, and magnificent old-growth temperate rain forest. Take a leisurely hike with your guide through the enchanted Hoh Rain Forest, one of the few and most remarkable temperate rain forests in the United States. Pause along the way to enjoy a picnic lunch while surrounded by nature. Continue on to Hurricane Ridge to take in the panoramas of the mountains, the Pacific Ocean, Canada and a variety of wildlife. Tonight, enjoy a wonderful dinner with your fellow travellers.

Day 8. Port Angeles – Seattle Airport Area

Enjoy leisure time this morning. Perhaps you will take a stroll along the pathway by the water or linger a bit at breakfast to enjoy the view before driving to the Seattle airport area for an overnight stay.
