Day 2. San Antonio

Your day begins with a fascinating tour of San Antonio with a local guide. History and culture abound with a visit to two UNESCO World Heritage sites. Visit the Mission San Jose, the second mission established by Fray Antonio Margil de Jesus in 1720. This is followed by a visit to the Alamo, which played a critical role in the Texas Revolution. Day 3. San Antonio – Stonewall – Fredericksburg – San Antonio

Board a boat and drift along the Paseo del Rio, also known as the River Walk, one of Texas’s most prized attractions. See for yourself why Charleston has been deemed the “charm spot of the south.” Embark on a guided tour of the city highlighting the many historic homes and restored buildings adorned with outstanding 18th-century Christmas decorations. Pause at the battery overlooking Fort Sumter where, on April 12, 1861, the first shots of the Civil War were fired. Following your tour, go beyond the moss draped oaks and step back in time to experience southern plantation living during the holiday season at stately Boone Hall. This is one of America’s oldest working plantations and you will be able to view the remarkably preserved original slave cabins, unusual in their brick construction. Experience the gracious hospitality you can only find down south when you dine at a fine local restaurant before visiting James Island County Park where over 500,000 lights provide you with an enchanting 3-mile driving tour. Day 3. Charleston – Savannah, Georgia

Enjoy time at leisure this morning to continue exploring Charleston independently. Later, travel south along the coast through South Carolina’s Low Country. Rich in scenic beauty, this is one of those unique cultural corners of the United States. Later, arrive in historic Savannah, home of the largest National Historic Landmark District in the United States. This evening, enjoy dinner at a popular local restaurant on famous River Street. Your night also includes a cooking demonstration that highlights specialities such as shrimp and grits.

Day 4. Savannah – Jekyll Island

Begin the day with a guided tour of Savannah’s sprawling Historic District. Stroll along the cobblestone-paved Factors Walk and River Street, where old cotton warehouses have been converted into trendy shops, taverns and restaurants, all decorated in holiday themes. This morning we are treated to a tour of the Jekyll Island Historic Landmark District — one of the nation’s largest restoration projects. Here you will have a chance to explore the 240-acre river edge and see grand “cottages” once belonging to such notables as the Rockefellers, Vanderbilts and J.P. Morgan. Day 6. Jekyll Island – St. Augustine, Florida – Jacksonville

Travel south to the United States’ oldest city, St. Augustine, first settled in 1565. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided trolley tour highlighting the Old Spanish Quarter, historic Bayfront, “Old Town” which dates to 1572, and the Plaza de la Constitucion with its shops and restaurants. Spend time at leisure this afternoon and come to know more of the city’s many cultural attractions. Day 9. Honolulu – Disembark Cruise Ship

Your cruise ends in Honolulu. Disembark the ship and journey to Oahu’s famous North Shore. If there is such a thing as a perfect wave, you’ll likely find it here. Learn why an international community of surfers gathers at the legendary surf mecca of Haleiwa. Rich with island history, Haleiwa is now the social and artistic hub of the North Shore. Here you’ll find surfers fuelling up at the restaurants in its plantation-era buildings before hitting the famous beaches of Waimea Bay, Ehukai (Banzai Pipeline) and Sunset Beach. No trip to the North Shore is complete without making a stop to savour one of Hawaii’s favourite treats — shaved ice. Celebrate the end of a wonderful trip at a farewell dinner this evening.

Day 1. New York City, New York – Tour Begins
“Start spreading the news,” because today you arrive in America’s most exciting metropolis for a getaway filled with shopping, sightseeing and endless entertainment. Relax as you enjoy a single hotel stay in the heart of the city.

Day 2. New York City

This morning we enjoy breakfast at a local eatery before setting out to embrace the energy of this fascinating city on a locally guided tour of the “Big Apple.” You’ll see Greenwich Village, the Wall Street district, Little Italy, Chinatown, the Empire State Building, Central Park, Chelsea Market and other time-honoured landmarks. Visit St. Paul’s Chapel in lower Manhattan, a place where George Washington once worshipped, and where recovery workers came for rest and care during their time at the World Trade Centre site. Spend the afternoon exploring the world-renowned Metropolitan Museum of Art and admire its thought-provoking exhibits and vital collections. This evening, it’s Diner’s Choice…your dinner is included and you’ll choose the perfect spot from a “menu” of the city’s popular locations in exhilarating Times Square before taking your seat for an included Broadway show!

Day 3. New York City

Start your day with a fun-filled breakfast at the famous Ellen’s Stardust Diner, a 50’s-themed restaurant featuring a singing wait staff. Next, Board a ferry to Ellis Island. On your way you will have the opportunity to see the Statue of Liberty up-close as your ferry cruises by her. More than 12 million people passed through Ellis Island on journeys of immigration. Since 1886, “Lady Liberty” has welcomed immigrants and visitors to New York Harbour. Created as a token of friendship between the U.S. and France, the Statue of Liberty has become a global symbol of freedom. This afternoon, visit the 9/11 Memorial as well as the museum, a poignant tribute to the lives lost at the World Trade Centre site in September 2001. Enjoy the evening at leisure to explore “the city that never sleeps.”

Day 4. New York City

This morning it’s Diner’s Choice…your breakfast is included and you’ll choose the perfect spot from a “menu” of the city’s great restaurants. Enjoy some free time to discover the city at your own pace. Your Tour Manager will have plenty of suggestions for great ways to spend your time. Maybe you’d enjoy a shopping spree at some of the world’s most famous department stores, including Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and Saks Fifth Avenue. This afternoon, the curtains rise for your second Broadway show. You’ll choose* from a selection of Broadway’s biggest hits. Say farewell to this extraordinary city as we enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
